Dignified and Healthy Ageing

The United Nations member states, of which Kenya is one, have named 2021 – 2030 as UN’s Decade of Healthy Ageing. This comes at a time when life expectancy has increased across the world and most people can expect to live into their 60s and beyond. Yet while numerical life expectancy has increased, healthy autonomous life expectancy has not! There is therefore an urgent need to put measures in place that will support the ageing population to reap longevity dividend. At KFSE we are doing our bit to ADD LIFE to the years of the elderly in our society.

If you would like to partner with us in this undertaking, consider looking through our Dignified and Healthy Ageing – A KFSE Approach strategy document (download here) and reach out to us on the areas you would like us to partner in. Implementing this strategy document is going to be a resource intensive venture – in a context where the world invests in the first half of a human being’s life and precious little on the second half. However, if you believe that quality and dignified life should be experienced and enjoyed by everyone – right to the last breath in life please partner with us in making this dream a reality for all.

What can you do today? Acquiring resources to implement this strategy will take time. However, as an individual, group or business organization, you can help by providing “Assistive Devices” to those who need them. These include: wheelchairs, walking canes & walkers, and Rollators e.t.c., – at KFSE we upon receipt of these devices we shall share them out to the families that need them.

Upon receipt of such assistive devises we shall post them on this website page [Available Assistive Devises], and families in need can then request for them.
